Renewal Reminders

I've been using Computer Associates Internet Security Suite for a few years, and I've finally had enough. The software was okay as far as security software goes, but what got to me were the constant reminders in the month leading up to the renewal date. Every five or ten seconds I would get a reminder pop-up telling me how many days I had left. I'm sure that each time I clicked the mouse, or went into windows explorer, that same feckin message came up.

There were people on the CA forum asking how to turn the reminder off, and they were told that it wasn't possible.

I contacted CA support and threatened that if they couldn't stop the messages, I'd uninstall the feckin thing. I told them that I was fully aware of the renewal date, and didn't need to be told umpteen times a day what I already knew. I was told that a cure would be to renew the program, and I told them that I wasn't going to pay in advance. They got back to me telling me that they would reset the reminder so that I wouldn't get it anymore. This didn't stop it, just made the reminders less regular, but still annoying.

I've gotten rid of it now off three machines, and installed the free Comodo. Feck em!

Are there any other programs like CAISS out there to avoid because of this?
