Hiya, my wedding is in a couple of weeks now and I have had to chase the hotel for everything. I am having a small wedding, the ceremony and the reception is in the same hotel. The problem is, we have organised the meal in the Restaurant, with a choice of 3 starters/mains/desserts....however the hotel have still not been back to me to let me know about the food! I rang on Friday and was told someone would ring me and no one did. Has anyone ever had any problems like this?? I'm starting to panic a bit now, have a feeling the day won't go without a hitch!!

    Thanks

Can you physically go to the hotel? They will HAVE to speak with you then.

Hi ElleEm, yeah, it's only up the road from me! I was going to give them until tomorrow to ring me...they're not avoiding me they're just not contacting me about the wedding at all!! I have had to ring about everything and even the girl I spoke to on Fri (no one from banqueting available) seemed really shocked that no one had rang me to discuss the food. But I thought that with only 2 weeks to go that at least someone would have rang me by now....

Jesus, I can't imagine your stress.
I'd go camp out there and also write a strongly worded letter of complaint to the manager.

Yeah id head up to them and finalise all the details. Im not getting married for another two months and we had the menu tasting recently. You should have everything agreed with the hotel at this stage, no matter what size the wedding is.

i'm having similar problems too and im getting married in two weeks, hotel is an hours drive away so not ideal to actually go up everytime i have a question. Anytime i email i dont get a response, anytime i ring i leave a mesg for coordinator and she doesnt get back to me every now and then just as im at the end of my tether they contact us and half answer our questions. Its way past the stage of changing but im clinging to the hope that on the day is where they shine as it is now im dissappointed with the overall service i have received.
