40th birthday next march. where do i go????

    i am 40 next march and OH asked me yesterday to decide where i want to go for a short break.
    i dont want to go to rome, paris, venice or london.
    can anyone suggest somewhere a wee bit different, on a budget.
    i like the look of monte carlo but i believe the cost when there would be really high. i also like the idea of dubai but it is a very long flight for just 4 days away.
