Forgot to sign for dole last week and I'm a bit fecked if I lose it... what happens?

I've been on the dole now for a few months. I've sent my CV to a lot of places and I got one interview but didn't get a job yet.

Last week I forgot to sign on at the dole on the right day, and they told me I have to come back on the following Monday.

There's no sign of a job yet, and I a bit fecked if I lose the dole.

-- Is the fact that I forgot the right day to sign a good enough reason for them -- will they stop my dole?

-- And will the fact that I forgot impact my rent allowance?

It shouldnt effect you at all.People do forget and so long as you dont make it a ongoing thing,I wouldn't imagine will effect anything.

Good luck with interview and job hunting.:)

Word of warning. Increasingly i find claimants forgetting to sign on two occasions is resulting in them signing every day, sometimes for months. Just a heads up.

I forgot to sign on a couple of times myself, my payment got suspended for a few days (had to collect on the friday insteaad of the monday or tuesday). Once you let them know asap it shouldn't be a problem

yeah that following monday bull is really annoying...if you are getting rent allowance you have to go back up and tell the welfare officer,or they will stop that aswell.
then sign back on the monday and you might get money on the following friday.
why they dont let you sign on that day or the next day is utterly retarded..

If you miss signing at the right time then you have to sign when you remember then after 3 times missing signing or signing after time you're on weekly sign ons for a month and they'll pick different days and different times and tell you you're next time and day each time you go in .. then it goes back to normal but, if you miss signing, once after that you are back to weekly sign ons...
