Transfer in first year?

Does anyone know anything about transferring course in first year?

I'm currently in a science degree and from the prospectus, talks, etc, I knew I'd love it, but then I went to the talk about my degree and they've changed it all so it's just general science and computer science in first year, rather than an actual multimedia degree which is something I really wouldn't be interested in doing. :(

Is there any way one can transfer degree within the uni? I looked up their transfer page, but it only says about 2nd year and 3rd year internal transfers, nothing about 1st year.

If anyone has any help, please let me know!

if you have the points, generally it isn't a problem, but can't be certain.
You should drop into the academic advisory office early this week, and see what can be done. They will tell you who to go to if anything can be done.
The sooner the better, so as not to miss out on many lectures.

Thanks, I'll drop in tomorrow and see what the story is! Also, I forgot to mention I'd be interested in changing from B.Sc Multimedia, to B.A Digital Media.

It depends how similar the courses are and generally there should be places available on your other option.

Don't think it even matters how similar they are. Down to places and points required.
