Rubbish site. Went to buy a few items £5.05 but shipping was £35. Buyer beware. Wasted a good hour picking through the site only to find this rubbish postage.

On Christmas morning 2011 Sendit.com were offering the The Singles Box Set [19 CD Single Box Set] by the Clash for € 1.49 (with an additional €3.49 to cover postage). Spotting an obvious bargan I ordered on the spot and received my order confirmation by return.
The price was increased to €15.49 within hours and is still on offer at this higher price toady 28th December.

I receiver the attached e mail today:

Thank you for ordering with us at Sendit.com, order number 1931****.
I am sorry to advise that we had a limited amount of stock available of The Singles Box Set [19 CD Single Box Set] at the promotional price which has since sold out.
We can confirm that payment has not been taken and you are free to re-order at the current price should you wish.
Thanks for your understanding, should you have any further questions please contact us through your online account message centre or on 0844 801 0311 and we will be happy to help you. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
    Many Thanks,
    Sendit.com

It would seem that the original price quoted was a mistake and should have been €15.49 from the start. This has happened to me in the past with this company where prices have suddenly increased after placing an order and the customer is left high & dry. It has never happened with Amazon, CDWow, BangCD, etc.

    I have 2 questions:
    1. Did anybody actually get the Clash The Singles Box Set [19 CD Single Box Set] for €1.49 & postage ?
    2. Is it legal to change prices as was done in this case ? Can a shop advertise a price and then say it was a promotional offer and that they have run out of stock even though the item is on offer at a higher price ?
    Replys awaited with interest.

Have tried to buy items from them in the past and what I have found is if its anyway a decent bargain they usually just send some bull email and say order cancelled.

I dont bother ordering from them anymore.

Stopped using these jokers a while back and check that the money is not taken out of your account as, I got a similar email only to check that they had taken my money give them loads a grief..they will eventually get back to you but will it be worth it wasting all your time, for then to offer you a £10 voucher for something that you may never get..and then they started adding P&P, them and The Hut are a joke (same company-ish)

To be fair to them the did reduce the price of most of their stock once the p&p was added. I ordered Thelma and Louise on Blu-Ray from them a few weeks back and it came to just over €11 which is not a bad price at all. Similarly I preordered about 20 other Blu's and even with postage the entire order was cheaper than anywhere else.

Just like gamestop too then. They do the same. Must be time to alert people about this bad business practice.

If send it cancel your order they do so by emailing you to let you know the situation and most time it is due to a misprice. I have had many misprices honored by them but when loads of people are buying something priced wrong, nuch like amazon or play or any other site they will cancel the orders.
