a bit off topic but what would cause you to have to remove a diesel injector?

reason i ask is i was looking at a car last week that was unavailable for viewing for a long time for reason that it was with an engineering company who were struggling to remove the injectors.

the problem has since been resolved but i reckon this would be a red flag to avoid the car?

It would be removed because it was faulty and as long as it was replaced with a new or reconed injector, it should be fine!

Ultimately it's bad diesel which causes injectors to fail but that's not always the case. As the 2004 megane diesels for example had a Delphi fuel system which was a bad system which ment when the mileage hit over 100k miles roughly you would have injector problems. Engine just tends to run rough and they will eventually fail. But most modern diesels don't cause injector problems unless they are run on bad diesel hope this helps. Open to correction but that's my understanding of it anyway.
