DoneDeal has had a few for sale, expensive though. Try the classics forum on Octane.ie, there's a guy there that restores them from the ground up.

I narrowly missed out on one years ago in the U.K. for 7.5k stg ... a 1983 model. You can still pick up a nice example over there in the 10 - 12k. range. Prior to the U.K. one coming up I'd investigated going to the U.S. altogether to source one. Grady's in New York are quite a big specialist. You'd easily get a decent one for $12,000 there, and pay around $2,500 to import (though God knows what the VRT situation is!)

I had found the later models a lot cheaper than the earlier ones. The early ones have the fuel filler flap designed into the bonnet, whereas the later ones have the fuel filler underneath the bonnet.

I tended to find Irish examples priced around the €30,000 mark, which I wouldn't pay for one. Of course you could save yourself a packet and buy a similar looking car from the same designer ... MKII VW Scirocco!

I saw a nice one for sale at the classic car show in Swords last June.
Don't have a number for the car or the show organisers but their web address is www.carshows.ie

A friend of mine worked in the factory which built them. They are not a great motor though tbh.

I would rather drive a De Lorean around for a day then any Ferrari. It would be great fun watching everyones jaw dropping!
