How highly do you rate Kevin Doyle?

I like him as he's hard-working, strong as an ox and decent in the air for someone 5'11, but should he be scoring more goals?

    Top top player.

I suppose you have to bear in mind he plays for a fairly workmanlike club side that ususally battle relegation and who don't create a whole load of chances anyway.

I'm a massive fan of Doyle's, but he hasn't been playing consistently for Ireland or Wolves since last Nov imo. Especially poor since he picked up the knee injury.

I wouldn't rate him very highly. I'd see him as a very average premiership striker.

Good player no question, but could do with scoring more goals really

Wolves is about his level tbh.

People may well bang on about how he could play for Spurs/Villa/Everton but tbqh in Defoe/Bent/Saha they have better strikers.

Hmm. For Ireland aside from the last two games he's been outstanding, I haven't actually seen that much of Wolves so I can't say. His qualities will never make him a star though, more of a fan's favourite type player. His finishing in my opinion is very good but he won't ever get a huge goal tally because he does a lot of work running the channels, winning aerial ball (bit like Heskey), so he's not in front of goal enough. he'd do a job for anyone outside the top 6, and would be a good plan B/squad player for better teams.

It wasn't that long ago where there was no realistic alternatives for Ireland and he was one of the first names on the teamsheet, but recently Shane Long has emerged of course and also, people may not realise Leon Best is creeping in under the radar (12 PL starts, 9 goals). Interesting times, hopefully the competition brings out the best in him as opposed to more Slovakia-esque performances.

Had no pace at Pats still has none, great player who works for the team and will bring others into play. Will never score 20 goals in PL but will play a part in them.

Has some great qualities as a striker and could move up to the next level in the PL but couldn't see him ever playing for a top team. Does his best work outside the box, puts pressure on defenders, holds the ball up well, decent in the air but top teams want their strikers in the box getting on the end of chances.

As someone else said will be a fans favorite whereever he goes due to his work-rate.

Decent striker at premier league level, but shouldn't be a clubs main goalscorer. Think the highest he could go would be a club like Villa/Everton as a support striker playing alongside someone like Darren Bent.

    Diet Kevin Davies.

Kevin Doyle: if he's not playing well, he's probably injured.

    absolute dedication.

I think he could do a job for some of the teams eyeing up the Europa Cup spot.

Feel that he is a bit isolated playing for Wolves and would perform much better with proper support and more quality ball.
