Windows updates

I hope someone can help me...earlier today 22 updates were to be installed 2 hours later this came on the screen....Updates not configured correctly reverting to change....now this keeps appearings..configuring update 3 of 3 shutdowns and yet again..updates not configured correctly... I am totally at a loss when it comes…

I am totally at a loss when it comes to computers,Thia is a windows vista..service pk 2 if this can help...
any advice what to do please,,,, dreading turning off the computer....

Cant help you there but don't be worried about turning off your pc the updates can be got later anyway with no problems. Thats what I've found anyway.
