i have a linksys WRT54G router and 8dbi omni-directional antenna by stella doradus which i've used in the past for 802.11b/g connections. a friend of mine wants to create wireless connection between 2 houses to share internet. there is barely line of sight between the 2 houses so i'm wondering if it can be accomplished or…

i have a linksys WRT54G router and 8dbi omni-directional antenna by stella doradus which i've used in the past for 802.11b/g connections.

a friend of mine wants to create wireless connection between 2 houses to share internet.

there is barely line of sight between the 2 houses so i'm wondering if it can be accomplished or not with b or g connection or should i invest in 802.11n antenna and router?

The distance between 2 houses is approx. 1.2 KM
