Are you for real? Strange rant. RTE don't own the broadcast rights to the RWC.

Those aren't RTE camera's down in NZ ;)

Yeah but the user agreement generally incorporates highlight packages & rebroadcast etc. and you'd expect it would in this case too.

Edit your post in that case. Lou Gehrig's disease is a terrible affliction.

Setanta own the broadcast rights to RWC 2011 in Ireland. The opening game, all Ireland's matches and the knockout stages are broadcast free to air as they are among the sports events deemed as culturally significant by the Irish government. For this reason they must be made available on terrestrial TV.

So RTÉ do not have the rights to make it available on their website.

the ireland v usa game is up on the rte player. and it looks like it went up early in the day of the game, cause it comes in order a few shows before the highlights programme

i want to watch the whole match, rugby highlights are rubbish for getting a feel of the game

luas...telling people to do things who arent your children doesnt sound good..

i didnt know he has a disease..

maybe he shouldnt be reading out such reports..

as he sounded very drunk ..very simple really

Not that simple for most people. The whole country knew about his problems last April or thereabouts after his appearance on Turpentine's show. Being blinded by your rantiness is no excuse. Please edit your posts accordingly.

no .the whole country didnt know about his illness ..
your tone is utterly uncalled for and really ...just let it go..

    the post is now edited..

im sure in the future people will hear colm murray and think...

'your man sounds drunk"...and will wonder why he is on air speaking in that way.

    completely normal and understandable thoughts.

It is a general problem with the RTE Player, they are very slow to put up programmes on it.

No excuse for it - The BBC get all their shows up on the I-Player within minutes of the show being broadcast.

With RTE you have no idea if the show you want will ever be available, it's very sloppy.

At least their player is consistent with their other services then.

They don't put MotD up for a few days for similar "broadcasting rights" reasons I'd imagine.
