    Hi,
my Inspiron 1545 insists on running a disk check at boot-up and reports that boot manager failed to find os loader. I checked the hd in Ubuntu partition manager and the recovery partition and main partition are present and populate with usual files.

How do I start dell recovery from the recovery partition or the CD. When I boot to the CD it offers loads of options but none do what hey say on the can.....restore the os. Is there a key combination at start-up to initializes recovery?
