    Hi guys

Just wondering if anyone has managed to pay the fee online for internet connectivity in Larkfield yet or how it works? I wanted to get it done and out of the way today before heading up tomorrow but it won't let me proceed without having a 'Network Pt. Number', which I don't have.

... Seems a bit funny that one is obv meant to pay this fee after arrival, but can't pay it online up there as won't be allowed connect to internet in the first place! :S

You'll need to get that when you're in the room, it's on the ethernet port in the wall.

Last year I was able to use the internet without paying for a few days, but it was slow as **** and nothing but web browsing would work (no Steam, IRC, ssh etc.), so maybe it'll be like that again and you could pay.
There's also a few computer labs in the Henry Grattan and stuff you could use (with your portal page username/password I think).

They had a dedicated comuter in the ISS office you could use to pay for your internet last year.

I think they make you pay by card, at least they did for me 2 years ago.
When you get you're room write down the number on the internet port. then, If you're using a laptop easiest would be to sit down in the sports building and use wifi to pay. The next day your internet should be working but you'll have to go pick up your ethenet cable first.
