Where can i recycle batteries?

there is no recycling/environment forum, so my logic is people in the gadgets forum have lots of used batteries lying around! Does anyone know where i can bring my batteries to be recycled or disposed of correctly? I have a bag of them and i dont want to simply chuck them in the bin.

Supermarkets have boxes lying about the checkouts normally where you can throw them in. That's probably the handiest option.

Basically any shop that sells batteries or something that has batteries has to take old batteries back.

hi i have brought a few into lidl they have a box on the window to put them in, hope it helps .
