Does this really work with the free webtexts given on Three's website? And am I right in saying that if I only want to use the free webtexts (via Jelly) for my non "3" friends, can I just use my regular sms included in my contract for the rest of the time?

    Im sure im missing something:confused:

Thanks for confirmation! I know bout the international thing, which leads me to a second question - is international texting/calling outside of the monthly units allowance? ie charged seperately?

    Thanks.

Charged seperately. Although you can use 50% of your flex units to call uk landlines or mobiles

It adds a little signature to each text. "Sent by Jelly" or similar.

If you buy the paid version it doesn't.

Also you can buy an in app purchase on the paid one to send photos.

Converts them to a link which opens them in a browser on a smartphone.

You can also send your gps location.

You can also set up a paid account to send international texts

Can you elaborate on that please?

As in do I still have to pay seperately within the paid app to send int'l webtexts? (That doesn't make sense after reading it back so it cant be possible as there are no free int'l webtexts.....)

I have an account set up with VOIP Buster.

I pay them for the web texts.

They set up your account to match your phone no so when you send a text it appears as if ir comes from your phone.

I have Jelly SMS set up for multiple accounts, My Three account and my VOIP Buster account.

When I want to send an international text I just switch to my VOIP buster account and send the text.

Jelly supports loads of suppliers so it is a matter of checking which is the best value for the country you usually text.

When I am on Three it showes me the number of texts left and when I am in VOIP Buster it gives me my account balance.

I think it is just a couple of cents a text.

You can also log into VOIP buster from a web page and send texts over the web.

I use Eirtext Pro and its good for webtexts. It works on a wide variety of carriers and services including 3. It shows how many webtexts you have remaining and has a few other good settings. Think its 3.99 in the app store

Thanks for all your replies. will just have to keep track of int'l texting, don't use it that much anyhow. Have jelly lite setup for the free webtexts. Not sure if I like it tho, its a lot of switching between apps regarding conversations and not able to just hit reply within jelly...........
