Got a ticket on the Hill for the all-Ireland :D First time ever on it always been in Cusack/Davin.

Was just wondering what is the best part of the Hill to be in and what time should I aim to get there?

The earliest I can get in is around half 2. Would I still get a good spot on a barrier or something?

    Cheers

when the pubs empty ten minutes before the gamethe hill usually fills up. normally 20-25% watch minor matches well thats from what i see regular

Dub v Kerry all Ireland final. As a Dub, I can't think of anywhere in the world I'd rather be than Hill 16. Enjoy.

Haha well I got there around 2 which is earlier then expected so saw the end of the minor match which Dublin threw away IMO. the build up was filled with singing the rare ol times and boys in blues and also with a lad who every 5 mins just shouted randomly GET OFF THE HILL to the Kerry supporters when they walked in. Then the Dubs came out onto the pitch followed by kerry. There was a good amount of Kerry people on the Hill in fairness. Anyway had a fantastic view for the gooch goal which was finished well in fairness. Second half though was amazing. Got the 3 point lead and I thought great lets hand but stupid frees and we were suddenly 4 points down and I thought that was that another all-Ireland chance gone. Then Mcmenamans goal and the place erupted and then we attaked again with the whole hill screaming for the ball to be switched to Nolan on the far wing which it was eventually followed by an amazing point over the bar. And then we got the free and I just watched Cluxton's reaction before I watched the ball and he sprinted straight away fist pumped in the air so I knew we had it won. Stayed for a good 45 mins after at least I'd say just dancing on barriers you know the usual.

A great day to be a Dub on the Hill. You couldn't write the script

Best day on the hill in a long time. The lad beside me was a hero bringing in the flares, haha, reminds me of the Rome Derby.
