Hi - I have an interview on the 22nd in the Millennium Park in Sallins at 11.45 - would appreciate pointers on what the traffic is like that direction, was thinking if driving, leaving Greystones at 9.00 am or would that be too early ? or too late ?!? Or, as I loathe traffic and will bit on the nervous side, would I be better off getting the train from Heuston ?

    thanks

Millenium Park is on the outskirts of Naas so it's not too far away. Leaving at 9AM is way way way too early, even leaving at 10AM is a bit too generous. It should take you no more than an hour as you are on motorway/dual carriageway pretty much all of the way there so maybe 10:30AM to be safe.

Oh and bring good directions as well; estates can be fun to drive around at the best of times :)

Maybe youd want to leave at ten... just incase theres any roadworks or traffic... then ya can relax and if your there early just chill and have a coffee or somethin.. ya wouldnt wanna be in a rush or late 4 an interview!

Yup, there's a new Costa just down the road at the Tesco Extra. If you're early, pass some time there. Leaving at 9 would be overkill.

thanks folks - good to know I can slum it over a coffee to kill time, I like to have a bit of wriggle room in these circumstances, as was mentioned you never know when roadworks could catch you out, - I would much rather arrive calm and collected !

Make sure you have proper directions within Millennium Park.

actually, at the risk of being a girlie, but since this thread has been so helpful, I am fretting a bit about the AA directions on leaving the Red Cow to access the N7 - they advise staying in the right lane, yet looking at the map I would have thought I stay left until I hit the N7 ? All clarification welcome, the last thing I want is to spend by morning driving around the Red Cow ...:p

Dont rely on directions alone...sometimes these can be dodgey... here is a picture of the slip road from the m50.. stay in the left lane!

You can get these pictures on google maps using the streetview function (dragging the little yellow man!)

    Look at the signs!

THANK you ! I was thinking exactly that - surely the right lane will take me back to the city centre ?!? The AA route planner directions even say to come off at the Red Cow and to take the N7 "stay in the right lane signposted City Centre" - had me stumped ! thanks again, I was assuming I must be missing something !
