So I have been working away trying to improve my swing and I have run into some issues. Its in regards to flexibility but not the usual type (aka shaft flex).. Its me !! Rather than go on about it too much I'l just say its shoulder turn, anything more than 45* and I start look like an elephant trying to be a contortionist. Its a right pain in the asre really...:(

I was just wondering if anyone had ever had this problem..? Any idea on what type of things i can do to help.?

TBH watching the Pros swing on TV dose not really do them guys justice, they are unbelievable athletes..

Yup i agree, to be honest the worst thing you can try do is really obsess over swing types and try to replicate the pros, practise ur own swing and feel and keep doing it (provided you have the basics good and you are hitting the ball well). Look at jim furyk, tommy gainey, phil mickelson etc, all have very very different swings and thats what works for them

The Pro's work very hard on their flexibility and turn etc but it is not all about how far you can turn. It's also about how much power you can generate from your swing. You will find that in difficult windy conditions top players actually shorten their swing in order to hit it better, not harder and with more control.
Yeah Rory Mc has a lovely turn but he is in his early 20's and has been practising this since he was a young kid but he is not perfect all the time, the Open being a case in point.
Stick with what works for you and even the best teachers will not try to change your swing into something it can never be.
Best of luck with whatever you decide.
