    No, it won't work, you need GSM 850/1900 for the US. And even if it would, the phone is likely locked to Vodafone.

    Why would you want to buy that phone anyway? You can buy a cheap Nokia 1661 in any Walmart in the US for around $30. Heck, I have one lying around at home, you can have it if you want, you only need a T-Mobile SIM for it, which you can get in any T-Mobile shop in the US.

    His plan was to leave it with relative in US with the vodafone sim roaming
    she's old and he wants to see if she will txt
    He would be able to top it up for when needed

    Anyway it won't work

    If he got the $30 phone and Tmobile sim $7
    does this mean you need to top up minimun every 90 days of $10

    makes sense to me Dunno why my Dad having mad ideas
