I'm playing in Coolatin tomorrow first game of golf since slogging around Knightsbrook in January!
Have never played there before but heard its a nice course. Anybody got any pointers for the course?
All I was told is that theres a cracking little par 3 in an orchard!!! Looking forward to that!

Hi, it's my home course. Unfortunately I've only had the pleasure of playing there a couple of times this year as I play the majority of my golf in Macreddin. Each and every time it was in beautiful condition and well manicured. The rough is cut down low and it's not overly long so it's a good course for all abilities. Pretty tough to lose a ball. There's not much trouble apart from a lot of trees.

I don't have a recent strokesaver unfortunately as they changed the layout a few years back.

Enjoy it, you'll have a great day out. Let's hope the weather holds up for you!

I played it this year for the first time and really enjoyed it though you'd benefit from a strokesaver or a GPS because it's not always clear where to go or if you can see the 'line' it's not always obvious what is the right distance on that line :)
The shop didn't have any strokesavers available when I was there... Very enjoyable course anyway.

Thanks guys have to say it is a cracking course especially for only €35. Had a look that link Buachaill and still I made a couple of errors driving the ball into the wrong spots leaving no second shot but delighted with the game although the greens were just a touch slow for my liking! 29pts off 7 with 1 scratch very happy I even won the A class 1st prize! Cheers guys;)

glad you enjoyed it, greens could do with being cut a little tighter alright can be slow at times. Hope the shot saver I wrote helped and glad you liked it. Not bad shooting either well done.

I played there on Friday and really enjoyed it and found it in great condition.
Some of the highest trees in Ireland must be on this course they are Huge.

Playing Macreddin this Friday too so a few more trees to enjoy :)
