Ok So i'm covered by the grant and I've been in to DCU to get my letter stamped etc confirming that I'm getting the grant and my letter went back to the County Council last week. However my balance is still €2038. I know I have to pay the 38euro levy fee. But, is the closing date for fees the 30th september yeah? What if my fees are not paid by then will i have to take out a loan and pay it? I seen in other threads people are doing this but does that not defeat the purpose of the grant?! Has anybody else awaiting grant payments not had their fees paid yet?

The deadline for fees is today!.. If there not paid today there will be a fine of €170.. You have to fax or e-mail the fees office a copy of the letter the council gave you and then you have to just pay the €38.. I e-mailed them my letter and then just paid the €38 by laser!

The fees office did? If they did then you just need to pay the 38 today! or pay the late registration fine!.. If the fees office didn't see it well then you still have to show them because I got mine stamped 3 weeks ago in the henry grattan building but I still had to show it to the fees office!

The deadline for fee's is 30th September - late fine of €170 applies after this date.
    1. Most of you will be paying only the registration fee of €2,038 which is due in full when you register. (You can also pay before registration or after but no later than 30th of September 2011, as a late fine of €170 applies after this date) - Any amount can be paid between now and registration provided full payment is made by registration. Please note, if you are in receipt of a grant, you will still need to pay the 38€ and also you will need to bring/send to the fees office the renewal grant letter.

what I did: during the registration online, when amount of 2038 e appeared, I changed it to 38, next day I was in registration office, I got stamp from them and I returned form to Dublin City Council, I also show in registration office my printed proof of payment(38e), it seemed to be ok, because I've got from the lady in office printed confirmation of my registration. 21st of September is my date of collecting student card so this day I'm going to show them letter from Dublin City Council again...

Sorry for jumping on this thread .
But i am doing the part time post grad in IT,,it is over two years two nights a week and was wondering about the fee.
If i did it full time over one year i would pay €2750.
So does this mean i pay double that as i have been asked to pay €2750 already ????
