CCTV in Spain

    Anyone familiar with Spanish law? Is it legal to have them in a toilet? Saw two restaurant/bars that had them. It's just all the one room too so not as if you've the privacy in the cubicle.

    Never seen this anywhere before.

    I imagine Spain will have something comparable to the Data Protection Act.

    If you can, I've avoid that palce in the future.

    CCTV is much rarer in Spain than here or the UK.

    I'm not overly concerned, just thought it was mad that this was allowed/being done. Would you like someone filming you going to the toilet?

    Arrnots have CCTV in the "public" areas of the toilets

    Seems to be quite a few places that have CCTV in toilet areas but not in the cubicles.

    Didn't one of the burger joints use CCTV from the toilets to fight false insurance claims?

    supermacs did. they had cameras trained on the hand basin but not the urinal so they said. it was on joe duffy a few years back about someplace in dublin may have been arnotts. not pointing at toilet they said
