    Hi,
There's a Canon G 9 on sale for pennies on Ebay. Problem is the lens had completely been pulled out. I phoned Canon Repairs and they said it'd cost £200 for a new one & calabration & labour.

I'm just wondering if anywhere in Ireland would be able to do this and would the cost be lower?

    Cheers,
    Pa.

There are people within these forums who would be capable of fixing it.
Send a PM to zerohamster, he might be able to help.

If some of the parts are actually broken, it might be beyond economical
repair. If most of or all of the bits are intact, it could be recoverable.

Depending on the asking price of he camera you could be taking a serious punt here because you're not going to get an accurate assessment of the damage and required effort/parts to repair it unless you buy the camera first and then take it to a specialist to get it looked at properly.
