Market App on HTC Desire

    Have HTC Desire for about 18 months now. It's pretty good, except for battery life.
    Most frustrating thing, is I lost the market app when I downloaded the latest firmware upgrade from HTC.
    Now I know that has been a common problem, and from googling, any fixes to be honest are above my head. I don't want to go there.

    Does anybody know if and when HTC, plan to make a simple downloadable solution available?
