AFAIK the business departments are somewhat related, I am going to start studying business in DCU. For personal reasons I would much rather study in UL I know I'd be a week behind but is it possible to change.

Cheers for advice. Same dilemna here I would much rather be in Limerick and do not think Dublin is for me. I am conscience however that the course there started last week so I would be behind and wonder would it be difficult to join in at this stage. If anyone from UL reads this DCU Orientation starts Monday.

I wouldn't worry much about missing anything, you'll do very little in your first few weeks and could easily catch up on it yourself. It's more a case of are you allowed to transfer.

do you have enough points for the UL course? It's very difficult to do an internal transfer (or a DCU-UL one) if you don't have the points for the destination cours.

yep, DCU required 420 points while UL required circa 390.

If thats right Christmas has come early :D. Any idea could I contact them tomorrow or will I have to wait until Monday. Finally I paid my DCU registration of €2038, would I be refunded this or will I have to pay that for UL also bringing my bill north of €4000.

obviously i can't speak authoritatively on this, you can get refunds on your reg fee, hopefully they'll just cross it over for you. you need to get in touch with your head of department ASAP.
