    stripping wallpaper....

Blessed are those who wallpaper carelessly with little paste for they make the life of the wallpaper stripper easier.

Cursed is the perfectionist wallpaperer, for here's hoping she or he will have to remove it in 5 years time.

Blessed is he who realises that wall covering fads last about 5 years and so there's no point being perfect.

Cursed is he who wallpapereth over dodgy walls, leaving the next buyer of the house to light-heartedly undertake a seemingly easy job and make surprising discoveries, and find it has turned into a huge job involving structural engineers and plasterers.

Blessed is he who wallpapers over gloss paint, for he maketh the life of the stripper easier.

(Stripping wallpaper  obviously allows lots of thinking time.)
