    Folks

    I have a D-max but NO manual.
What is the function of this option, and how is it engaged disengaged?

The Isuzu has push button gear ratio selection so it is not obvious how to do it without doing harm, the only info I have on it is consult teh owners manual

I did the training course on these when they were first imported in Harris' in Dublin.

Can't remember for the life of me what the deal was with them though!

I vaguely remember there was a Neutral on the 4x4 I had before the D-max

Is it anything to do with Diff Lock as there is no diff lock on my D-max and I was hoping this might be it

Nope. I think it is to do with getting towed. You have to press 2 buttons at the one time?

You do have an LSD in the back though.

    Limited slip Diff?

when the boot is put down in 4x4 and it's slippy she goes sideways

I am off road at least 2-3 times per week so I'd really like a diff lock.

Yeah, all the 3.0 DMax's come with a Limited Slip diff as standard

    .

Getting towed, or towing? and why?

Towing, a diff lock would be of use for traction under a load.

it says it on the sun visor on the drivers side , its for being towed so that you dont fcuk up the transmission or 4wd parts,

being towed would only affect the LSD as 4x4 would not be engaged ordinarily.

The Sun visor says consult users manual, I have tried pressing the buttons and I have seen no light/affects from it.

I was speaking to a guy who was under the misguided impression that this was to do with towing heavy loads ie: difflock for increased traction like on a tractor when ploughing.

Anyone got a D-Max manual and want to scan and post the Neutral reference page for me??
