Against my advice Mrs.Milltown went out and bought our son a cheap BMX bike as he had outgrown his old bike. The yoke she bought has "mag" wheels which are the sh1ttiest plastic yokes I ever clapped eyes on. Out of the box, they were warped enough to make brake adjustment a choice between barely working or working but rubbing.

So if anyone has a pair of cheap, bog standard wheels going for little money, let me know. So long as they're straight enough I'm not bothered about tyres or bearings or anything that can be replaced. Shoot me a PM too, in case I forget to check back here.

    Thanks.

I've got a front wheel for €25 if you're interested?

    How about these?

It says it's for race mini/junior so I'm not sure if they'll fit.

    £72 sterling?
Exchange to Euros and add shipping and it's close enough to what the bike cost.
I'm hoping for wheels somebody upgraded from tbh. Turbodiesel is probably right about getting a 2nd hand bike handier actually.

Sun Ringle, swanky wheels. Good value I reckon but expensive all the same. It's 82 euro shipping included.

Cheapest on CRC is 68 for a pair. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Categories.aspx?CategoryID=898&SortBy=Price

I've a pair on the shed, they are the similar plastic things. Never looked to see were they true though.

Would the old freezer trick work on them?

Ah! Do you remember that! Put them in the freezer, blast from the past that.

I think I might have an original "Hoffman Wheel Freezer" out in the shed too. :D
