    Hi lads,

Does anyone know where i could get some JP1 jet fuel? Doing a project in college where we've to build a mini jet engine so if anyone knows where i could grab some that'd be great!

    Where are you based approximately?
Usually fuel suppliers are at regional airports.

The main problem comes when you say "just 1 litre please".
They think in thousands of litres.

Isn't home heating oil basically the same stuff (i.e. kerosene)?
Whilst there are probably different additives and grades of purity, turbines aren't that fussy about what they burn and long life probably isn't on the agenda for an engine being built as a college project.
