Hope im in the right place for this, but im baffled!!

As im in the process of getting/setting up a new phone, I had to borrow my daughters phone (android on vodafone) and last nite 5 emails to an older gmail adress appeared on her phone!!

The gmail adress was activated by me the night before last, when I was setting up a new one to link to the iphone, but the older one wouldn't work and now this happened.

(sorry this is complicated wording but im including all info here!!)

My question is how on earth did that happen - ie what settings should I look at to changing. (I've tried on the pc to change but cant find how).

It sounds like you have synced your old gmail account to your daughters phone.

If you go into settings on your daughters android, then look for accounts and sync. You will then see all accounts asociated with that phone and be able to delete the account profile you need to.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks so much for this reply - found out what to do, only it says certain applications require this account, so have to delete it via factory reset. I better wait and sort her photos and contacts first before I do that or she will eat me alive!!!:D

    Thanks again.

Hmmmm, it might be easier un-installing the apps first, disabling the account, then re-installing them? Out of interest which apps are requiring that account?
