People in "I want more money than I'm getting now" shocker...

It's a tired argument but in an area like banking you want someone that knows what they're doing and due to banks doing well in other economies (can't think of any just now mind), their services are in demand so they can name their price.
That said, some of the cloistered monkeys we have in the industry here think they're simply just worth it regardless of how good or bad they are at the job...
