ok so i am thinking about changing my tires , i have BF Goodrich MT km2 on at the minute but i have found myself to be doing more road work then off road work so i am going to change and don't know to go for the BF or the AT2 , i want a good tire for the winter too in case of snow and i see on the at2 you can add studs if needed , but both tires are siped fairly well witch it the main thing in snow and ice , any info would be great lads good and bad

There's been some recent discussion about this, the AT2 is out of production thanks to the EU, the replacement isn't reckoned to be as good. I'd stick to the BFGs.

I have changed from the General Grabbers to Toyo Open Country ATs recently and am well impressed so far. Got them through Daly Tyres in Limerick

I have BFG A/T's on a Pajero at the moment, ok, they are American/Inches size (6mm wider than the oe spec. Pajero specific stuff is rare and expensive - the 15" rim being the cause.

Haven't tried them in the snow but must report that they are all but silent.

LOL! served my time on Landrovers, so know exactly what you mean.

I've done 3000 miles on the BFG's at this stage and no issues. They look like they'll last for a good while yet.

Have a look at the new General Grabber AT tyre. 50/50 tyre, not as aggressive looking as the AT2 but on there web site they clame the AT has out preformed the AT2. I have a hilux and the AT2 tyre was crap in the wet, spent alot of time side ways! Now have the AT and not once has the rear kicked out in the wet! Good luck with your choice!
