Wasps nest

I realise now that all the while there have been hordes of wasps in and near the house was because of what I found today.

I got badly stung two days ago. And today as the dogs and I came back under the electric fence, saw hordes of the critters at the base of a tree along the path.

Had been reading their life cycle anyways and know they all die except the new queens who hibernate.

Assuming that this nest is where they are?

It is too near the house for safety; would value thoughts on this, knowing how much we need pollinators..

    Thank you

Graces7, as far as I know the Queen will look for a new nesting site when she emerges from hibernation so the nest won't be in the same place... so to be honest at this stage of the year I personally wouldn't do anything.
Though I acknowledge wasp stings do hurt:( but I think they'll be gone soon.
As always I'm open to correction...
