There are plenty people get no As at all and have done very well.

    1. Do not believe everything you see posted here.
    2. Boards.ie is not representative of the country as a whole.

Only 0.7% of the country (if i did the maths right) got more than 10 As, so that is definately not the common result in the country at all!
The fact that you got 2A's is great, and not getting anything below a B is even better! You should be proud of the fact that you got all honours!
Your results are in no way average :D

well my grades were quiite like yours,3 a's ,6 b's nd 2 c's. our average score of all subjects put together would probably be near the same :) ye i know isnt it ridiculous, going by the posts on the jc results thread youd think about 60 percent of jc students 2011 in ireland belong in mensa:rolleyes:

Getting everything better than a C is a tremendous achievement as your options remain open for the LC. I would say that your results would be in the top 10-20% of the country's results, they're great.

People lie on the internet. Fact!

    Kickass paradox right there.

Anyway, what people "say" they got is most likely mis-typed (or at least that's what the cover-up story here says)

3 guys did amazing in my year- 1 got 9 a's and 1 b another 10 a's and 1 b..another 11 a's and 1 b. the guy who got 11 a's and 1b was annoyed because he didnt get in the nespaper for his 11 a's and 2 girls from some other school somewhere with 10 a's each got into the newspaper :L

I wouldn't worry about your JC results tbh

Many of us (myself included) did distinctively average in the JC then caught up and surpassed the 6/7 As people in the LC due to pulling the finger out. It means nothing and the sooner you realise that and move on, the better.

Girls, I would think. For example, in my class - the top class - there are 6 boys and 24 girls.

^Where I live, boys' results generally seem to be better.

I have a theory that in disadvantaged areas, boys have literally no heed on education, and while the girls results may not be what's generally considered good, the results are still better than the boys. This would bring males as a gender down significantly.

I'm no misogynist, but the media is constantly bashing the intelligence of males.

Jaaaysus fair play your results were more than good imo :O Everybody got brilliant results here, i think mine are the worst (and i still think mine are good) 3 A's, 1 B, 6 C's and 1 D..Well done on all A's and B's!

in m year 2 people got all a's and one person got 9 a's 2 b's (me :D) and another person got 8 a's and 3 b's ! my school is totally smart i think :) ur results are really good ! u didnt get a single C and 2A's ! some people would give a right arm for that ! well done to all and even if ur not happy its only the junior cert , we can prove to everyone how smart we really are in the leaving ! work hard guys :D

junior cert is only an exam which gives you guides for what you should be focusing on for the leaving cert.

My scores where quite similar, in the long run those scores are just a beginning and no way reflect on your Leaving cert as it is up to you reach your potential in 5th and 6th year.

    i got 3 A's, 2 C's and a couple of B's which i'm happy about

and let's face it, it's so easy to lie over the internet so some people have probably fluffed up there results a little, let's be honest

but at the end of the day it's only the leaving cert
