vBulletin forum doesn't remember previous visits

Hi all,

Hope you can help.

I visit several vBulletin forums and all of them are excellent are remembering my previous visits. Boards.ie for example is spot-on every time with the "Go to first new post" button. It also keeps emboldened thread titles in perfect order for threads with unread posts in them. It doesn't matter how long it is since I last checked a thread, it always takes me to the first one I haven't read.

But there is one particular vB forum I visit that seems to forget where I was each time I visit. So when I press the ""Go to first new post" button it takes me to the first new post in that thread since my last visit to the site, not the first new post since my last visit to the thread (it must work off the timestamp of my last visit or something).

Similarly, the emboldened thread titles disappear if I visit the site (but don't open any threads), then navigate away, and then return - again, it is as though it is clearing the emboldened titles because it sees I've visited the site even though I didn't open those specific threads.

Please note:
1. I have cleared cookies and this doesn't seem to fix it.
2. This isn't a "Log me in at each visit" or Auto Login issue - these options seem to be working fine.

I hope someone can advise - I've trawled the net and can't find an answer, and it is incredibly frustrating.

Maybe there's something in the settings that marks all forums read when logging out. I know boards used to do that when i first joined. Probably an issue with the site itself, ask the admin can they do anything about it.

Still can't fix this...:(

Can any of the mods here suggest anything? Or is there a vB expert on Boards who I could tap up for a bit of advice via PM or whatnot?
