    eh any ideas?
    did a fresh install,nothing
    slapped my laptop a few times,nothing
    works perfectly on windows 7 on the same laptop >.<

    damn that was my first suggestion.

    by fresh install you mean deleting all minecraft related files (backing up saves) and then downloading the new launcher?

    I told her to read the error message which said error with .jar file

    Then she replaced the jar file

    BAM!!!

    It worked.... Some people :p
