Its not really clear what you are looking for - any of these? http://www.stairsuk.co.uk/stairs_ideas.html
also it might make a difference where you want to put them, some situations might not be suitable for some styles.

It may be the local carpenters are not enthusiastic because you are not clear enough about what you want?

    Hi
The traditional stairs is what I want. I've shown them pictures from magazines and they had no interest. I've seen them in uk but not here. Any help appreciated.

I've got a similar problem in that in my new build the builder persuaded me to convert the attic and put 'hot press' and DHW cylinder in attic accessed via a stairs where the 'hot press' was originally planned to be so space is a little tight. Originally he told me he would put in a stairs for €550 but now of course when it comes to the time to install it becomes a €1,500 job. This is for a bog std white deal stairs. The problem he said is that it needs 2 returns which of course he knew when he quoted €550 originally!!. He has also offerred to get the stair company to build the first straight part and he would then manufacture the returns on site for about €1,000 all in. This could of course end up at €1,200. I was wondering does this sound very expensive? As I said it is a bog std stairs for accessing an attic conversion. The space is approx 1.8m(W) by 2.3m(L). Would you need a double return of would a simple single return be sufficient?

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks
