I was planning on applying for the driving test at the weekend, but the waiting list here in Wicklow is down as 10 weeks on the website (12 weeks according to my instructor). This should fall sometime within the end of November/start of December. Do you think I should wait and book my test until after christmas based on the weather we could get around that time? (I know they cancel if it's icy or snowing etc.)

If you ready for a test you can ring the RSA and ask for a cancellation, some of my students have gotten a test in a week. Good luck

If you are ( or will be ) ready, apply now. If it is too icey on the day of your test, it gets postponed. That is no big deal. Could the potential weather be a bit of an excuse for putting it off. Get the job done. Apply now, while you are at this computer. Good luck.

I applied for a cancellation ! applied initially 3 wks prior- got a date for 2 days after I could legally do the test - good luck - the tester I had was very nice & very fair.
