Outdoor PIR wall lights not working

    They worked for about 2 months and now they seem to have gone on the blink.

    If I give one of them a whack with my hand,the light bulb flickers on,but then goes back out straight away,in the blink of an eye.

    The other one seems to be totally dead.:(

    Theres an 11Watt CFL bulb in each bulkhead.


    Is there a quick fix for these PIR lights,or would it be better to install a propper external PIR above the door and then work a new set of wall lights off it??

    Sounds like the bulbs are not making a good contact.
    Can you check (CAREFULLY)the voltage going to the bulb contacts.

    Yea, sound like bad connection somewhere. Make sure you turn off the power if you start messing with the wires.
