    Needy much?
Dutch woman 'called boyfriend 65,000 times'
A Dutch woman who called a man 65,000 times in the past year - an average of 178 calls a day - is to face charges of stalking.

The man told police he had been bombarded with calls, texts and emails from the woman.

Lawyers say the 42-year-old woman claimed to be in relationship with the man and denied that her actions were excessive.

The 62-year-old man denies that they were in a relationship.

The police raided the woman's home in Rotterdam and seized a number of mobile phones and several computers.

The BBC's Anna Holligan in The Hague says a judge at a preliminary hearing granted the woman bail on the condition that she leave the man alone.

But just a couple of hours after being released, she allegedly called him again, says our correspondent.

She has been kept in custody ever since, and had been due to appear before a judge in The Hague later on Wednesday, before it was decided three judges should hear the case.

A new date for the hearing is yet to be set.

so the moral of the story is stick to 60,000 calls and you'll be ok.

Why should he have to go through the trouble of telling everyone he knows etc just because some crazy idiot won't leave him alone? That's what harassment laws are there for.

Why, just because she is younger means that he was obligated to pay attention to her?

65,000 calls is loony stuff, no matter what the situation.

    Did he answer the phone?

He answered on call 64,783 and said "WHAT????????"

and she said "Haha, made ya answer!" and hung up!

I'd say after about 500 he got a new phone and number and just kept an eye to the old one to see how much of a lunatic she really was, at 65,000 probably in hysterics decides it would be even funnier to call the cops and accuse her of stalking. Might as well make the most of a bad situation.

bank of ireland visa would break that record easily!

Must have been annoying for the woman involved that he wasnt answering. Though you would expect her to get the message after at most 100 calls.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,033 ✭✭✭unitedrover

Shows hes still popular with the ladies getting all these calls...

...Shame theyre all from the same women though
