I have been recommended ofrthotics but having seen so many types im unsure which to go for.
I have seen carbon flex types and very rigid ones along with foam based ones.
My injuries are all pelvis related and get lots of niggles in the lower limbs.None in my knees.
    anyone help?

Are you not ordering them through a physio ?

If you're looking for good custom made orthotics, I couldn't recommend David Kingston in Maynooth enough! They'll set you back 300e though. But they last about 4 years before they need replacing. Just went through my first pair and am getting a new pair in three weeks.

Who recommended orthotics for you (more precisely what profession)? I'm asking because so many people push people towards orthotics when they're not necessary.

Do not for the love of your body let a physio order you orthotics - refer you to a professional in the area (orthotist/podiatrist) absolutely - but do not let them prescribe for you.

I got mine from Dave Kingston too, they've worked very well for me and he didn't have any trouble with the 8 - 10 times I went back to him to get them adjusted. Mine only lasted two years (the heel post wears unevenly) but I found someone to replace the heel posts for a relatively small charge. I'm sure that there are plenty of others who could help too.
