If you knew every week for the rest of your life would be pretty much the same as your average week now how would feel, if you could flip a switch and vanish from existence would you do it? You do the same job, get the same money (adjusted for inflation), have the same friends, do more or less the same things. So really you have to ask yourself the question is the pleasure you get in your week enough to outweigh the pain (commuting, getting out of bed, working, chores etc.)

So would I be stuck doing the same things watching myself go through the motions? Would things reset every week? What if I stabbed a dude?

I'd settle for it, 3 games of football a week (be nice when I'm 65 :D), knowing I'm guaranteed a job, win a few bob on a Saturday and have a nice big session.....I'd happily take that, tbh most of my weeks at the mo are the same anyway!

Not talking about Groundhog week here. Things don't reset every week,it's the real world, you just know your week is going to stay the same unless you do something stupid like stab a dude.

I'm just establishing that things can change. So like. If I keep going on as I have been, that's essentially what you are positing will happen as a theoretical situation? I'll get back to you next week.

The basic idea is that you know life isn't going to get any better. It's as good now as it's ever going to get.

That'd be fine with me, I think. Got my kid, wife, job, house, etc. I'm doing fine. I've got a negative outlook on Ireland as a whole, so maintaining would be better than I expected..

Some people seem to vanish from existence and still manage to return on a regular basis to claim their dole.

If getting out of bed is a pain for you then you should probably see a doctor.
