Hi, My name is Irina. I'm a lead singer of international project "Heather" based in Dublin. The band is on hold now, suddenly our leader and guitarist died in April, so really we are thinking of resurrecting band and giving it more opened minded aspect. Originally we've being mainly playing Russian folk music with funky spin. Few tunes are here http://www.realmusic.ru/theheather/ just to give you and idea. We need an enthusiast sharing this concept. I don't know much about musical environment, so looking for advice as well. We have bass, percussionist, pipes and whistles and vocals.
    All advices are appreciated
    Thanks

Hi, been listening to your stuff this morning - very well recorded. Are they Uillean Pipes on the first song?

can you explain more about what advice you are looking for?
i.e. are you looking to know where to gig, or find promoters etc?
    are you looking for musicians?

Sorry, didn't clarified myself. I don't really know where to start. We need lead acoustic guitar and promoter. Guitar you heard on those recordings - its' the guy that passed away.. so he recorded and arranged all the pisses, actually, in his bedroom. Originally it was just him and I behind the concept and idea of the project, musicians were coming and going - now we have dedicated pipes and whistles, percussionist and bass (he's busy with few bands of his own, but available) - so as I'm trying to say - we need a new beginning, need lead guitar, possibly more instruments and maybe new direction - thinking of going world folk, not only Russian, but Irish, European etc. I'm not ambitious person myself, wasn't thinking global about what we were doing - just really enjoying it and people seemed to respond very well on the gigs - so fans  now pushing for encore, saying the project is good enough to carry on.
So, what would you do if you were me?

    p.s tha was Uillean Pipes
