Sky Dish & Installation Limerick

    Hi all.

    I am an existing Sky customer and yesterday the bracket mounting my sky dish to the wall failed due to rust, less than 4 years after being installed and it is now hanging down.

    What I am looking for is some help with finding someone to supply and install a new dish for me to hook up to the existing standard box in Rhebogue Limerick??

    I've rang one chap who quoted me €70.00 to supply and install which is fine but he couldnt do it until Friday.. no signal being received at all.

    Can anyone recommend anyone?

    Urlan on Clare St. Failing that look in th classifieds section of the Limerick Post, have seen a few ads re satellite dishes there.

    Hi al-pal, in a similar boat to you. Moving into an unfurnished house, looking to get digital set up but I have a spare HD+ box so was thinking of setting up the satellite and cabling and running off the 'freesat' channels to avoid a monthly bill and contract (am I right in thinking there is a minimum 12 moths contract when you sign up with Sky?)
    I gave Urlan a shout and they said, depending on what amount of work I need done, it could cost me around €150-170. Would you be able to pass on the number for the guy who quoted you €70, maybe he could do better. Who did you get sorted with in the end?

    There's a user on here Steveon that I would highly recommend for any sat installation!
    He's Limerick based and does great work at very keen prices.
    I've used him and A+ service as well as being a genuinely sound guy.

    Ring up Sky and tell that you want to cancel your subscription because your dish is faulty and you cant receive any channels.
    Be firm and they wont be long sending someone out free of charge to fix it .
