Just wondering are there any good folk/trad gigs to be got around Leinster area? I don't mean noisy pub gigs where everyone's talking about the X factor,
more folk club type gigs? Oh and ones that pay the musicians!
After 15 years the recession is calling me back to playing again!

I play Acoustic, Bouzouki, Harmonica, Vocals

Hi, My name is Irina. I'm a lead singer of international project "Heather" based in Dublin. The band is on hold now, suddenly our leader and guitarist died in April, so really we are thinking of resurrecting band and giving it more opened minded aspect. Originally we've being mainly playing Russian folk music with funky spin. Few tunes are here http://www.realmusic.ru/theheather/ just to give you and idea. We need an enthusiast sharing this concept. I don't know much about musical environment, so looking for advice as well. We have bass, percussionist, pipes and whistles ,and vocals.
    All advices are appreciated
    Thanks
