the engine management light is on on the mams 06 micra. car seems to be running fine. is there any common issues with these that bring on the EML?

im looking to get it scanned anyways, but just wondering was there any common things to look out for?

    cheers

If the car has very low miles and is still running perfectly then chances are its a lamda sensor fault.

Cheers. Got it scanned. Misfire on one of the cylinders. Got it cleared and it stayed off on the way home. The mechanic was saying it could be rubber o rings under the air box.

Would a dealer charge much 2 give out the radio code? I had the battery off to see if it would clear the eml.

If you ring the dealer you bought it from or where it came from originally they should give it for free.

it was bought private and havent a clue what dealer had it new. its on a dublin plate. the local nissan dealer has done a few services and warranty work on it so maybe they would give it to me for free?

Was it specific misfire to one cylinder or a multiple cylinder misfire that the fault was?

I think it was one cylinder but I'm not 100% sure.

Local Nissan dealer wants 30 quid for the radio code. Daylight robbery IMO. anyone know any decent dealer's?
