Morning after pill - Can men get it?

Hi, if this is wrong place, sorry. I'm stuck at work, slightly freaked and can't find an answer online.

Myself and my girlfriend were having sex last night and the condom came off inside of her. We are now very worried (for obvious reasons). Unfortunately my gf has stupid long hours of work that she cannot miss, so asked me if I could pick up the emergency contraceptive pill for her. Now the nearest chemist from me right now is a bit of a drive, so I'd have to duck out on work which is why I was wondering if someone can tell me here and now - can men get it for their other halves? Or does it have to be the woman who goes in? (if this is a silly question, I apologise).

My GF can pop out to a pharmacy if she needs to, but I was hoping to avoid her missing her work.

The chemist needs all sorts of info re medical history etc. It's the same as going to the doc and asking for antibiotics for someone else-they can't do it. She'll need to get to a doc tomorrow of she can't today. It works up to 72 hours after the incident but is less effective the longer you leave it.

This is a long-shot but possibly if your girlfriend rings up the pharmacy in advance, explains the situation, answers the questions over the phone and gives her name, you might be able to collect it for her. I sometimes have to get other people to collect meds for me (mind you they are prescription meds so a bit different).
