I reckon the newer generations, 25 and below especially stay up way later than anyone used to back in the day, pre internet you might say.

But how much sleep do you guys get per night? I'd say I get about seven to eight. Six hours often enough sometimes too.

My granny NEVER went to bed before 5am, she used to sit up guarding the test card on tv:pac:

Think she was older than 25 when she died tbh. . . . .

If I don't get my 8hrs a night I'd be miserable for the day! But have suffered on five or less hours when need be which happens regularly enough

Between work and study at the moment I'm getting max of 5hours sleep daily. I'm used to it now though! I work shift-work so my sleep isn't always at night.

Work/study through the night, I'd get my sleep sometime- a.m. when most are getting up.

Who needs sleep. statistics somewhere on the internet news(google im guessing was my source). reckon you function far better at night than you do during the day resulting in more work done. Walla problem resolved. we all sleep 9-5 :D

I'm nocturnal - Its ridiculous what I get done at night - I hate the day and mornings??? Forget it - You get sooo much work done at night when nobody is ringing you, no reps are calling to the door, no-one around to distract you - Just leave me alone will ye!

From experience, that's a really bad habit to get into when you're not working.

I'm glad I've got kids to get me up at a regular hour in the morning.

    Sweeping generalisation regarding age there.

Would think that the older people who stay up late probably don't use the internet.

    Makes your comparison defunct tbf.

Edit: Just wanted to mention that I lived next door to a lad of 80+ that would be up late regularly.

I sleep about 6/7 hours a night. I used to need 8 but as I've gotten older I can do with less, it's great!

I work for myself so I can set my own hours anyway but I'm usually up by 8 for my run/cycle, but if it's a nice morning I might be up by 6.
If I'm tired come the afternoon I'll have a siesta for an hour or so. I work sometimes during the night too like tonight.
I stay in bed longer on a Sunday. I likes my lie in.

    Off to bed soon now.
