just wondering if you can replace the hopup in GBB pistols like you can with an AEG.

reason I ask is I think the rubber is missing from mine. I can tighen the screw in the hopup but i can tighten it so much that it just falls into the barrel?

I presume there should be rubber there to stop it?

You can pick up replacement hop up rubbers alright - they're more costly than AEG ones. Have a look on EHobby; I've found them to be the best for parts like that

ye I have looked everywhere but can't find them. To the point where I wasn't sure if it even existed in the first place.

Let me know if you hear back from them

    EDIT

This looks like it might fit

    EDIT2

    Actually check this out

    http://madbull.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=21_7&products_id=276

    problem solved. sort of.

the hop up rubber wouldnt work as it has a nub on the inside, if it was completly smooth it might work. Im actually thinking of just cutting the shape of the old rubber out of a spare hopup rubber i have from a G&G aeg i have.

The madbull upgrade increases your FPS by 25% i think, so would bring my pistol over the joule (it fires pretty much bang on the joule at the minute as stock)

true. mine is shooting at 320 so would prob put it over.

I have a spare AEG rubber as well so I might give it a go.

Just put the new cut out in, i dont see any reason it wont work, and i used plumbing tape as well to increase the seal.

I took it appart and the srew is now missing as well. god dam it.

The rubber that was in the notch seems to have broke in half. picture below.

exact same thing happened to my rubber.

also i nearly lost that screw during the middle of a game out in dundalk. was not fun trying to find it in the dirt under stones.

hopfully it turns up, if not might be able to get a similar sized one off the internet

Just in case anyone wants to know the screw size you need is a m3x3 grub screw. M3 3mm

Had to find out the hard way and order lots of sizes. Now my hopup if fixed.
